Lancashire won by 49 runs
Rob Jones hit a century for Lancashire Second XI on the opening day of the three-day Championship clash against Northants at Liverpool.
Lancashire won the toss and elected to bat first with Calum Turner and Rob Jones opening the batting for the hosts.
The pair put on 53 for the first wicket before Turner (32) was dismissed by Barrett. Luke Procter joined Jones at the crease and played positively, hitting early boundaries, with Lancashire moving past the hundred mark.
Barrett picked up his second wicket of the day, dismissing Procter (36) with Lancashire 123/2.
Jones moved to his half century as Josh Bohannon (34) joined him at the crease with the Lancashire all-rounder hitting two sixes and a boundary before being the third batsman to fall with the Red Rose 201/3.
Brooke Guest was the next man in, but opening batsman Jones continued on his way to a century for Lancashire as the 21 year-old continued his good form with the bat.
Guest (29) and Jones (138) then fell in consecutive overs to leave Lancashire 292/5 in the 80th over. Wickets continued to fall for the hosts as Lancashire were bowled out for 321 after 90.4 overs.
Northants had a tricky 11 over spell to overcome before the close but lost two early wickets. George Burrows dismissed Kettleborough in the second over before Tom Bailey trapped Cross lbw in the ninth over as the visitors closed the day 17/2.

Northants, resuming Day Two 2 wickets down, lost an early wicket as Luke Procter dismissed opener Adair in thr 17th over to leave the visitors 43/3.
Cox joined Davies at the crease for Northants and the pair started to rebuild the innings. Both batsmen went on to hit half centuries.
Bradley Woolley made the breakthrough for Lancashire, dismissing Davies (51) and Cox (61) went just four overs later with Bailey taking his second wicket.
The Lancashire pair then struck again in quick succession with Kapil and Barrett being dismissed for Northants to leave them 146/6 in the 47th over.
Richardson and Sole contributed with useful lower order runs for Northants as the visitors were bowled out for 265 in 85 overs.
In Lancashire's second innings, Calum Turner and Rob Jones opened the batting for the hosts, leading Northants by 56 after the first innings.
The pair were untroubled with Turner (48*) and Jones (53*) finishing the day unbeaten with Lancashire 110/0, a lead of 166 going into the final day.
