  • Day One

Jordan Clark hit a century on the opening day of Lancashire Second XI's three-day Championship clash against Durham.

Stephen Parry won the toss and elected to bat first but Lancashire did not make a good start. Durham took three early wickets to reduce Mark Chilton's side to 51/3.

Luis Reece was playing nicely and was joined at the crease by Jordan Clark and the pair stabilised the innings before lunch. Reece was playing sensibly but it was Clark who took the attack to the Durham bowlers.

Reece (66) was dismissed, as was Danny Lamb as Lancashire found themselves 190/5. Jordan Clark (101) brought up his century but was soon dismissed. Academy batsman Calum Turner (53) came in and played an excellent innings for his hitting an important half century.

Nathan Buck (35) and Toby Lester (23) both made contributions with the bat for the eighth and ninth wicket partnerships and Lancashire were bowled out for 338.

Durham finished the day with openers Mustard and Hickey still at the crease.

  • Day Two

Eighteen wickets fell on the second day of Lancashire Second XI's three-day Championship clash against Durham.

Durham started the day 23/0 and Lancashire soon started to make in-roads into their batting line-up. Jordan Clark took the wicket of former Lancashire loanee Phil Mustard before Saqib Mahmood removed fellow opener Hickey soon after.

Mahmood took his second as Durham were reduced to 87/3 before Toby Lester and Nathan Buck joined in on the act, leaving the hosts in trouble at 121/5.

Paul Coughlin (56) played nicely for Durham hitting a controlled half century for his side but he soon fell as well, this time to Danny Lamb with Calum Turner taking a safe catch.

The tail was swiftly removed by Saqib Mahmood who finished with figures of 4/39.

Lancashire lead by 143 but their second innings started in the worst possible fashion for Mark Chilton's side. Durham reduced Lancashire to 34/4 and then 80/8 before Stephen Parry (58*) and Toby Lester (24*) scored valuable runs in the final hour of the day.

The visitors ended the day on 159/8, a lead of 304 going into the final day.

  • Day Three

Durham Second XI batted out the final day as the hosts claimed a hard fought draw against Lancashire at Brandon Cricket Club.

Gurman Randhawa claimed the final two wickets as Lancashire were bowled out for 185, setting Durham a victory target of 330 to win on the final day.

Lancashire made the perfect start dismissing the dangerous Phil Mustard and fellow opener Hickey cheaply, with Durham finding themselves 45/2 thanks to wickets from Jordan Clark and Gavin Griffiths.

Calum MacLeod and Poynter put on 83 for the third wicket before Clark dismissed Macleod and then Parry caught and bowled the latter.

Coughlin and Asher Hart ended up settling for a draw with Durham closing on 244/5.
