Lancashire Second XI drew with the MCC Universities side after a rain affected three days of cricket at Weetwood Cricket Club.
Rain once again delayed the start of the final day, but play finally started after lunch yesterday. Both side's forfeited an innings, so the MCC University side required 267 to win from 60 overs.
Lancashire made the perfect start with Toby Lester taking two wickets to leave the hosts in trouble at 22/2.
Cullen and Brand came together and played very well for the MCC University side and put a partnership worth 142 for the third wicket partnership.
Lester picked up his third wicket dismissing Brand (74) before two more wickets fell in quick succession from Lester again and Stephen Parry with the home side on 192/5.
Despite a late assault, the MCC Universities just fell short of the required total and the game concluded in a draw, with Cullen hitting an unbeaten 107 for his side. Toby Lester impressed with the ball taking figures of 4/35 from 14 overs on the final day.
