Smith and Procter hit centuries for Second XI
A strong Lancashire Second XI side completed a comprehensive 68 run win over Worcestershire yesterday after centuries from Tom Smith and Luke Procter.
Lancashire won the toss and elected to bat first but the visitors lost an early wicket of Hameed (11). Luke Procter (101) joined Tom Smith (113) and the pair both played brilliantly at RGS Worcester.
Both batsman played positively from the start and they both brought up their centuries before Karl Brown (42) and Jordan Clark (22) both hit quick cameos as Lancashire posted 319/6 from their 50 overs.
In reply, Lancashire made the perfect start as Clark ran out the dangerous Tom Koehler-Cadmore early on. Rhodes and Tom Fell put on 41 for the second wicket before Stephen Parru bowled the former.
Worcestershire then collapsed to 115/6 before Fraine (75) and Haynes (34) fought back for the hosts, but it wasn't enough. Worcestershire were bowled out for 251 as Lancashire completed a 68-run victory.
