Academy beaten in Mumbai by 60 runs
Lancashire's Academy were beaten by 60 runs in their second tour game in Mumbai yesterday by MIG Academy.
Simon Kerrigan won the toss and elected to field first with the hosts putting on 89 for the first wicket before Sam Oldham took two wickets in quick succession to leave them 92/2.
Lancashire continually picked up wickets and the home side were bowled out for 241 in 44 overs, in what was a much improved fielding performance from Gary Yates' side.
Simon Kerrigan (2/28) and Sam Oldham (2/10) were the pick of the bowlers for Lancashire.
In reply, Lancashire lost an early wicket in Jamie Crawley (5) but Henry Dobson (47) and Sam Perry (26) formed a solid second wicket partnership of 76.
Perry (26) was dismissed and Alex Davies (24) scored quickly before the pair were both dismissed in quick time to leave Lancashire on 122/4.
Kerrigan (31) played nicely for Lancashire and was supported by George Lavelle (11) and Rehan Udwadia (11) but the visitors were bowled out for 181, 60 runs short.
