Watch England demolish Sri Lanka

England v Sri Lanka Second One-Day Highlights

Friday 24 June turned out to be a memorable day for English cricket and Lancashire cricket as the Three Lions completed a ten-wicket demolition of Sri Lanka in the second One Day International - whilst Lancashire Lightning thrashed Worcestershire Rapids in the NatWest T20 Blast.

England’s Jason Roy and Alex Hales were the stars of the show for England at Edgbaston to become the highest scoring partnership in any One-Day game, finishing 256 for 0 off 34.1 over’s – a truly remarkable score.

England never looked in trouble against a Sri Lanka side which managed a draw against England earlier in the week after a final ball thriller at Trent Bridge.

The third One-Day fixture at Bristol was abandoned just 4 over’s into England’s run chase who are now 1-0 in the series.

After England complete the One-Day series against Sri Lanka, we look ahead to the Investec Test match against Pakistan who are currently ranked one place higher than England in the ICC rankings.
