England Pakistan IT20 sold out!
Tomorrow night’s NatWest International T20 between England and Pakistan at Emirates Old Trafford has now sold out, with over 20,000 fans ready to watch the final fixture of the English summer.
Earlier this summer, in July, England beat Pakistan in the Second Investec Test Match to extend their unbeaten Test record at Emirates Old Trafford to over 15 years. Joe Root and Captain Alastair Cook both hit stunning centuries on the opening two days before James Anderson and Chris Woakes secure a four day victory for England.
Just last week, England completed a 4-1 victory in the Royal London One-Day International series and Eoin Morgan’s side will be looking to complete the summer in style in Manchester, where the Three Lions have never been beaten in the shortest format of the game.
As well as delivering a memorable finale to the home international fixtures this summer, Emirates Old Trafford is already planning for the year ahead. The iconic venue’s development continues with the completion of a new 150-room Hilton Garden Inn hotel during the summer of 2017, to complement the AJ Bell Player and Media Centre and the successful Point, a leading conference and hospitality venue.
Wednesday’s capacity crowd includes a complete sell-out of the hospitality and VIP packages at Emirates Old Trafford with more than 1,300 enjoying the unrivalled facilities with 850 of those hosted in The Point.
Chief Executive Daniel Gidney said, “It’s great to have England’s final fixture of what has been a very entertaining and successful summer for Trevor Bayliss’ side.
“Last year’s International T20 against New Zealand proved to be very popular with England supporters and we’re delighted that there has been such high demand for this year’s fixture.
“Next year we look forward to hosting the Fourth and Final Investec Test Match between England and South Africa next August before West Indies arrive in Manchester to start the Royal London One-Day International series.
Tickets are already on sale to Lancashire 2017 Members and those that have pre-registered, whilst tickets go on general sale on the 10th October. For more information, click here.
