Lester stars as Second XI dominate after rain delay
Toby Lester starred on Day Two of Lancashire Second XI's friendly clash against Derbyshire at the 3aaa County Ground as Mark Chilton's side dominated.
Derbyshire won the toss and elected to bat first but they soon found themselves in trouble as Lester took three wickets in the opening 15 overs of the day to leave the hosts 38/3.
It didn't get any better for the home side as they were bowled out for 138 with Lester (6/27), Luis Reece (3/33) and Dan Houghton (1/28) taking the wickets.
In reply, Lancashire lost two early wickets with Karl Brown and Luis Reece falling cheaply but Chris Laker (55*) and Josh Bohannon (61) played nicely in the final session of the day before the latter was dismissed with just a couple of overs left in the day as Lancashire closed on 139/1 going into the final day.
