The winter is finally behind us and the 2016 cricket season is set to get underway as Lancashire return to the top flight of the Specsavers County Championship this month.

Due to the demolition of Development House to make way for the construction of the new Hilton Garden Inn, the Ticket and Membership Office has been relocated to the north of Brian Statham Way towards the junction with Talbot Road. The temporary structure has six customer service points for ticket and Membership sales, ticket collections and for any questions customers may have regarding access to the Emirates Old Trafford or the out grounds. There is an accessible sales point to assist any customers who may arrive in a wheelchair.

We have also added a brand new customer service point within the Honours Room that will be open on match days for future games’ ticket sales and to answer any Membership queries. This will be staffed throughout each match day to provide Members with an enhanced ticketing experience once inside the ground

Due to the hotel development, the entrance gates have changed slightly from last year. The entrance gates for Members will be between the Pavilion and the Point, by the Indoor Cricket Centre and on Gate 5 on Brian Statham Way. The entrance gates when you arrive at the ground will be clearly signposted and if you have any problems, our stewards will be on hand to direct you in the right direction.

There will be a local guest beer tasting event for Members in the Pavilion Long Room to sample different beers on Sunday 17 April from 12-3pm during Lancashire’s opening game of the season against Nottinghamshire at Emirates Old Trafford. This is due to the Club’s new deal with Heineken who will be working with local Manchester breweries, such as JW Lees, Frederick Robinsons and Joseph Holt, to provide a range of premium cask ales and craft beers to the Lancashire Members.

There will also be a wine tasting session for the Red Rose Members in the 1864 suite during the tea interval on Sunday 17 April.

Please be aware than there will be no seating available in Stand A for the opening couple of fixtures this season. This stand is currently not safe to spectate from and will only be a walk way. Please note that there will be some noise disruption throughout the day at Specsavers County Championship fixtures but we are working closely with our construction partner to ensure this is kept to a minimum.

There has also been a reduction in price for tea in the Pavilion.

As per last year, 2016 Members will receive daily emails on the morning of each Specsavers County Championship match with squad news, highlights, interviews, weather updates and important car-parking notices. If you don’t currently receive emails from the Club update your details online or by giving the Ticket Office at Emirates Old Trafford a call.

The new Club shop will be opening later in April and will also include a Museum which is currently under construction. We will confirm a time for the unveiling of both nearer the time.

We will continue to update our Heritage displays in the Long Room for you to enjoy with items dating back over the past hundred years from the Club, with the latest changes expected to be completed very early in the coming cricket season.

The 2016 AGM has been confirmed for the 18th April to take place in the Indoor Cricket Centre at 6:30pm, meanwhile the date for the Members’ Forum is still to be announced.

As always, scorecards will be available to purchase around the ground. They will be available in the Pavilion, the 1864, C Stand Bar and in the new shop once opened.
