Livingstone and Mahmood pen new deals

The Lancashire County Cricket Club duo of Liam Livingstone and Saqib Mahmood have both signed new contracts to keep them at Emirates Old Trafford.

Livingstone (23) has extended his contract until 2019 and Mahmood (19) until 2018, with the pair enjoying breakthrough seasons for Lancashire in 2016. Both players, who graduated through the Lancashire Academy, played for England Lions last year against Pakistan A and Sri Lanka A.

Mahmood is currently in South Africa taking part in the ECB Pace Programme whilst Livingstone is with the England Lions in Sri Lanka alongside fellow Red Rose batsman Haseeb Hameed.

We caught up with Lancashire batsman Liam Livingstone after this morning's news that he and Saqib Mahmood have both signed new deals with the Club.

The 23 year-old speaks about his pride at playing for the Red Rose, playing for the England Lions, looking ahead to the 2017 season and how he plans to learn from new signing Shivnarine Chanderpaul this summer.

Lancashire Academy head to the Global Cricket School in Mumbai

The Lancashire Academy squad have flown out to Mumbai for a ten-day training camp, accompanied by First Team players Alex Davies and Simon Kerrigan.

Three one-day fixtures have been arranged for the squad against the PJ Hindu Gymkhana Academy, MIG Academy and against the Global Cricket School.

The tour will provide the Academy players with valuable match experience ahead of the UK domestic season, as well as exposing them to different cricketing conditions.

Supporters pre-season tour to Dubai

Lancashire County Cricket Club has teamed up with Sporta Tours to offer Red Rose supporters with a fantastic package and a unique opportunity to travel to Dubai from 22-28th March for the pre-season Supporters Tour.

The package includes return flights from Manchester to Dubai with the Club’s headline sponsor Fly Emirates and a six night stay at the 5* Crowne Plaza Festival City in Dubai including breakfast.

It also includes tickets (shaded seating) to the Emirates Airline Twenty20 Tournament in Dubai which is hosted at the ICC Academy featuring Lancashire Lightning, MCC, Birmingham Bears, UEA National Team, Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars.
