Semi-final confirmed for Second XI Trophy fixture
Lancashire Second XI's semi-final of the One-Day Trophy fixture has been confirmed against Kent at Beckenham on Friday 19th August.
The Club is currently exploring options for organised travel to this game subject to sufficient numbers, which will involve an early morning departure (5/6am). The Club is asking Members to email firstname.lastname@example.org to register if it is their intention to travel to this fixture by 2pm on Wednesday 17 August.
One-Day Trophy semi-finals
Somerset v Leicestershire at The Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton start 10.30am.
Kent v Lancashire at Beckenham start 10.30am.
Mark Chilton's side finished top of the North Group after four wins out of six this summer. Whilst this doesn’t actually guarantee a home semi-final, (ECB led based on logistics and ground availability) ultimately the Club have accepted an away semi-final. This decision has been taken from a logistical and player welfare perspective as the Second XI take on Middlesex at Radlett CC in a four-day friendly this week (Monday 15th – Thursday 18th August) so the Club and the ECB have agreed to play the game at Beckenham, rather than travelling back up to Manchester in the early hours of the morning with some players having to travel for an hour or so home after that.
