STAT ATTACK: Vikings v Lightning

STAT ATTACK: Yorkshire Vikings v Lancashire Lightning, NatWest T20 Blast

The second part of the #GameofRoses clash will take place on Friday 11 August at Headingley – with both Lancashire Lightning AND Lancashire Thunder going head-to-head against their bitter rivals from across the pennines.

Ahead of the NatWest T20 Blast clash between Vikings and Lightning, take a look at some of the key stats between the Roses rivals.

You can also read our Vikings v Lightning match preview here.

  • These teams were inseparable when they last met, ending in a tie, though the Vikings have lost only one of their last six home games against the Lightning (W4, T1).
  • Karl Brown needs 23 runs to reach 2,000 in T20 matches.
  • Lancashire’s four-run victory against Leicestershire Foxes last Friday snapped a three-game stretch away from home without a win for the Lightning.
  • Yorkshire Vikings have claimed wins in nine of their last 10 at home (L1); the sole loss in that time came in their most recent home game however (v Derbyshire).
  • Seven of Tim Bresnan’s 10 wickets this season have been openers; the best rate (70%) of any seamer to record 10+ dismissals.
  • Ryan McLaren needs 2 wickets to reach 150 in T20 matches.
