From the ages of 15-19 Laura quickly progressed from county to junior England representation, to making her full senior debut in 1997 at Hinckley against South Africa.
She started as a medium paced bowler and opened for England playing in 13 Tests, 73 ODIs and 3 IT20s. During Laura's decade as an international player she had 2two brief breaks to have my sons George and Harry and gained undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications. She also supplemented my playing career with coaching (qualified as Level 3 coach in 2003) and tutoring. My highest score is 162* for Lancashire Women v Kent in 2005.
Since playing international cricket, she now works for the ECB developing and supporting County Cricket Boards in recreational cricket.
