Walk with Beefy

Walk with BeefyFancy walking with a cricketing legend and raising money for Leukaemia Research?!

2010 marks two very special anniversaries.  It is the 25th anniversary since Sir Ian Botham’s first walk and it's 50 years since Leukaemia Research was founded.

In April 2010, Sir Ian will be walking for ten consecutive days through ten towns.  Beefy will begin each day’s walk outside that town’s M&S and then walk to a local park where members of the public have an opportunity to join him and his celebrity friends.  To join in the fun, all you need to do is raise money for Leukaemia Research and help Beefy change the lives of children and families affected by Leukaemia.

This year’s walk will start in Manchester City Centre on Saturday 10th April and the park walk will talk place in Heaton Park.

Special opportunity for cricket clubs throughout the North West

If you are part of a cricket team or club and would like to take part, why not work as a team in raising the money.  Each member of your club or team needs to register online at www.beefy25.com and then over the next couple of months, raise as much money as possible for childhood leukaemia.

On-the-day you will receive a special t-shirt, get to walk with Beefy and his celebrity friends plus receive a medal to mark this special occasion.
Registration costs £10 per person with all money going to this very worthy charity.
