ENGLAND and Lancashire pace bowler James Anderson is urging cricket fans to act fast after an additional allocation of tickets at Emirates Old Trafford were released for all five days of the forthcoming third Investec Ashes Test (1 to 5 August).
After initially selling out the original supply of tickets for the first four days of the match at Emirates Old Trafford, an additional limited amount of tickets are now on sale on a first-come, first-served basis priced at £50 for adults and £25 for children under the age of 16. At over 25,000 seats, Emirates Old Trafford is now the biggest-capacity cricket venue after Lord’s.
And the Burnley born star, who recently became only the fourth Englishman to take 300 Test wickets alongside England greats Fred Trueman, Sir Ian Botham and Bob Willis, is expecting the tickets to get snapped up for the showpiece match at his new- look home ground.
He said: “The ground has had some fantastic Ashes battles over the years and I am certain that the one in August will be memorable.
“Since the redevelopment, Emirates Old Trafford looks stunning – probably as good as any of the venues I have played in throughout my career – and I’m delighted that there are some additional tickets for cricket lovers.
“With the speed in which the original allocation of tickets sold out, I can only advise people to hurry and buy them before they all go!”
