JAMES ANDERSON has been tipped by England bowling coach David Saker to be the prominent seamer during the forthcoming Ashes series Down Under.
The Lancashire quick has been the standout bowler in each of England's two previous series victories against Australia, amassing 22 wickets in the recent 3-0 win on home soil and 24 scalps in the 2010-2011 campaign.
And Saker believes the Burnley Express will once again have another successful Ashes campaign, when it gets underway later this month.
He said: "In the last visit over here, he broke the barrier that he wanted to break.
"He wanted to prove to a lot of Australians that he could bowl well in all conditions. He came over here and had a fantastic series. Then he went to India and did a fantastic job for us.
"As far as pressure goes, he thrives under it. He thrives under the leadership banner.”
