ARE YOU the kind of person who likes to go the extra mile when helping out others? Would you like to play a key role in ensuring that the match day experience at Emirates Old Trafford is second to none? If so, why not consider becoming an Honorary Steward for Lancashire County Cricket Club?
The customer is at the heart of everything we do at here at Emirates Old Trafford and we want all our visitors to experience the warmth and good humour that epitomises the Lancashire Way in a safe and secure environment.
Therefore, we are looking to expand our safety operation by recruiting individuals who want to make a difference and leave visitors eager to return to the venue.
Operations Director Anthony Mundy said: “The 2012 Olympics left a tremendous legacy for sport as a whole, not only in terms of participation but also in engendering a fantastic community spirit. From a spectator perspective, the Olympic volunteers proved to be a crucial asset and this inspired many other sports to go along a similar path.
“Last summer, we held a successful recruitment process which saw 100 Olympic-style volunteers assist almost 200,000 spectators over the course of six days of International cricket.
“This helped the Club to receive some outstanding feedback regarding the customer experience we delivered.
“The Honorary Stewards we are looking to recruit for the 2014 season will have a more specific mandate in terms of ensuring the safety and well-being of all spectators but we hope to deliver this in the Lancashire Way.
“Although the positions are voluntary, all successful applicants will receive comprehensive training and a match day uniforms. They will also have the opportunity of playing their part in the staging of some exciting cricket matches at Emirates Old Trafford!”
