Stephen Moore is gearing up to face Aussie speed demon Shaun Tait and the MCC in this afternoon's Emirates Airline Twenty20 semi-final at Dubai.

Moore has just walloped an unbeaten 67 off 40 balls, including three sixes and seven fours, to help chase down 124 for the loss of just two wickets to see off the Fly Emirates side in the quarter-final.

Opening partner Tom Smith also added 52 off 34 balls as the run chase was completed with ease.

Two wickets each for Sajid Mahmood, Gary Keedy and Simon Kerrigan had earlier restricted the home side, champions of the Gulf, to 123-9.  Naqaash Tahir and Smith also struck with ball.

"I must admit, I was expecting a nice little warm-up competition and then you look online and see Shaun Tait will be running in at you," said Moore.

"You can't really prepare to face somebody like him because there are so few bowlers like him in the world. Apart from practicing as much as possible, the only real way is to get out there and do it.

"The first couple of times, it's a shock to the system. After that, you start being able to pick it up."
