Young Driver launched 3 years ago and has given over 65,000 lessons to date

As long as you are 11 years old and 1.4 metres tall, you can drive a brand new dual control SEAT Ibiza. All instructors are government approved ADI's and have been CRB checked. Young Driver also has a child protection policy.

Using one of LCCC's car parks, on a specially designed course including a roundabout, T junctions, reversing areas, youngsters start to learn the skill of driving in a safe and controlled environment.

Research shows that starting to learn from a younger age than 17 can reduce accidents dramatically.

1 in 5 newly qualified drivers will crash in the first 6 months of passing their driving test. Youngster having been through earlier training were 50% less likely to have an accident than the national average.
