Lancashire in Dubai

LANCASHIRE LEFT Manchester late on Sunday afternoon and touched down at Dubai International Airport in the early hours of Monday morning.

Peter Moores has taken a 19 man squad to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates as the Red Rose step up preparations ahead of the domestic season which gets underway next month.

The players spent Monday swimming in the outdoor pool and doing some work in the gym while on Tuesday they will depart for the ICC Global Cricket Academy to do some work on the outfield and in the nets.

Lightning face Sussex Sharks on Thursday in a warm-up t20 game ahead of Friday's Emirates Airlines T20 Cup match against Fly Emirates XI.

Travelling squad: Andrea Agathangelou, Karl Brown, Glen Chapple, Jordan Clark, Steven Croft, Gareth Cross, Alex Davies, Gavin Griffiths, Kyle Hogg, Paul Horton, Simon Kerrigan, Arron Lilley, Stephen Moore, Oliver Newby, Stephen Parry, Luke Procter, Luis Reece, Tom Smith, Wayne White.

James Anderson is on tour with England, while Simon Katich arrives at Emirates Old Trafford in April. Kabir Ali didn't travel with the squad as he is currently being assessed after picking up a knee injury.
