Arron Lilley and Steven Croft both took three wickets each as Lancashire's 2ndXI won by 144 runs in the Roses Challenge match against Yorkshire at Liverpool

Report:  1st day
 After suffering the early loss of Paul Horton, Stephen Moore and Andrea Agathangelou attacked the Yorkshire bowling, Moore reaching 50 off 56 balls (12 fours) and his century (with a six) just before lunch, his second 50 taking only 40 balls. At the interval, with Agathangelou batting solidly at the other end on 40 not out, Lancashire had reached 160-1 after 35 overs.

On the resumption, following a rain delay, Agathangelou brought up his 50 in 104 balls and the partnership was worth 191 before the rain returned and an early tea was taken. A 5pm restart saw Moore add two more boundaries before falling lbw for 134. Agathangelou brought up his first century of the season in the 55th over (1x6, 15x4). Lancashire lost the wickets of Luke Procter (17) and Stephen Croft (15) before bad light ended play for the day just after 7pm with Agathangelou not out on 135 and Tom Smith not out 1. Lancashire were 320 for 4.

2nd day - no play, rain.

3rd day - Lancashire declared on their first innings score as the two teams set up a final day run chase with Yorkshire requiring 321 runs to win in a minimum of 96 overs.

Yorkshire started quickly scoring five an over with Lancashire setting an attacking field. Oliver Newby was first to strike with two wickets to the slips in his third over, Lees to Tom Smith at first and Hodgson to Steven Croft at third. Kabir Ali followed suit when he took two wickets in his 5th over, bowling Tattersall and Smith taking a second catch at first slip to leave the White Rose on 38-4 after 9 overs. Callis and Wilson fought back to reach lunch with the score 84 for 4.

Arron Lilley struck quickly after lunch when Wilson was caught at square leg by Stephen Moore, and he off spinner took the three wickets in a session shortened by rain to leave Yorks in trouble at 143 for 7. After tea it took only 9 overs for Lancashire to finish off the Yorkshire tail, Croft the destroyer with 3 for 3 in 5 overs.
