Lancashire's 2ndXI enjoyed a comfortable seven wicket win against Derbyshire at Glossop with Alex Davies hitting an unbeaten century

Lancashire started well, keeping Derbyshire to 27 runs from the first 7 overs of the power play. It took the introduction of Stephen Parry in the 10th over for the first wicket, a sharp catch to Reece removing Durham. Parry struck again in his 3rd over, with Borrington caught at mid-wicket. Whitely and Redfern added 75 before Adnan Ghaus had Whitely caught behind. Redfern went 2 overs later, run out. Derbyshire had reached 141-4 after 30 overs, but scored well over the final 10 overs of the innings. Poynton and Hughes attacked the bowling putting on 80 before 3 quick wickets fell at the end of the innings.
Lancashire’s opening pair of Luis Reece and Alex Davies took the attack to the Derbyshire bowlers. At the end of the first power play they had scored 67 and took the batting power play straight away, pushing on to 104-0 after 12 overs, both batsmen reaching 50 in the 12th over (Reece 32 balls, Davies 36). Reece finally fell in the 19th over for 75, with Lancashire 144-1. Davies went on to reach his first Trophy century in the 33rd over, and despite losing Agathangelou and Clark Lancashire cruised to victory 38th over, Davies finishing unbeaten on 116 from 117 balls.
