LANCASHIRE COUNTY Cricket Club's £7.5m redevelopment of the historic Pavilion, at Emirates Old Trafford, was officially unveiled last night to the cream of North West business who enjoyed an evening of fine dining, dancing to the Paul Pashley Band and being mesmerised by Matt the Magician.
Built in 1895, the Pavilion has long exemplified the finest traditions of English cricket, with an atmosphere and elegance like nowhere else. The recent restoration and rejuvenation was required to meet the needs of the modern game and to further enhance the facilities already provided by The Point, the state-of-the-art venue that can cater for anything from 100 to 1,000.
The construction work carried out has married the building’s character and heritage with brand new facilities for use by LCCC Members, guests and business delegates.
Angela Hodson, venue sales manager at Emirates Old Trafford says: “The unveiling was our opportunity to show the venue off at its very best and judging from the many positive comments received we achieved our aim. From a great menu, produced by Nic Ashurst and our catering team to the outstanding décor the evening was a great success.”
Angela adds: “The Pavilion now allows for large scale events taking place in The Point to utilise the venue for break-out rooms workshops and syndicate spaces. It also gives us the opportunity to cater for smaller meetings and events.
The venue is able to accommodate up to 700 delegates utilising eight suites and nine executive boxes. The flexibility offered by the venue for meetings and events will expand Emirates Old Trafford’s business offerings and further enhance the facilities already provided by The Point.
