A product of Sedbergh School, Jordan was only the second player from Cumbria to be invited onto Lancashire's Academy (in 2008).His progress led to a first team one-day debut in 2010, followed by an extended run in the Friends Life t20 side and further appearances in the Clydesdale Bank 40 the following season.
The 22 year-old hard-hitting, right handed batsman was an integral part of the 2ndXI Trophy winning side in 2012, and although he was unable to reach the same batting levels of 2011 he will have been buoyed by his 115 v Derbyshire in the final 3-day game of the season.
Furthermore, there was enough evidence from his one-day bowling performances to suggest that, on his return from playing in Melbourne this winter, he will be competing strongly, as an all-rounder, for a one-day first team place next season.
