Alex Davies came through the ranks at Darwen CC and has played for Lancashire at every age level.
He made his first team debut in a Clydesdale Bank 40 game against Glamorgan in 2011 two days before his 17th birthday, becoming Lancashire's youngest-ever one-day player in the process, and made his first-class debut against Surrey at Liverpool at the end of the 2012 season.
He joined the Lancashire Academy at the end of 2010 and was awarded a joint Academy/Scholarship contract for 2012 before signing as a professional for 2013.
Alex is an aggressive top/middle order batsman and wicketkeeper who peformed well in the Second team last season with 360 runs @ 54.5 in all 3-day cricket,
After opening the batting for England at the Under 19 World Cup in Australia last winter, he is returning 'Down Under' to experience club cricket in Melbourne this winter playing for Mulgrave CC until the middle of January 2013.
