Patients at the Manchester Children’s Hospital in Pendlebury received an early Christmas present this week when members of the Lancashire squad paid them a special visit.
Glen Chapple, Oliver Newby, Luke Sutton, Mal Loye, Karl Brown, Simon Kerrigan and Kyle Hogg joined Cricket Manager Mike Watkinson to visit the children on three wards.
The players were on hand to chat to the kids, sign autographs on mini-bats and give out presents which included cuddly versions of Lanky, the Lancashire mascot.
Kyle Hogg said of the visit "It's been really good for us to come here today. We're in a privileged situation as cricketers and to come in and try and cheer up some less fortunate children is really important."
Lancashire would like to thank club partners Kukri Sports and Vimto for their kind donations.
