LANKY was on hand this Wednesday afternoon to help load up Christmas gifts and food for families in the local community.
Staff at Lancashire County Cricket Club have been donating new toys, book and items for food hampers to local charity Wood Street Mission for their Christmas Project.
Wood Street Mission have been helping local children and families since 1869. They work with all statutory and voluntary services across Manchester and Salford to provide free practical help to families affected by poverty. They run five projects in total and Lancashire County Cricket Club are assisting with their Christmas Project. Last year they helped 3,715 children by providing parcels that include new toys and books and also food hampers.
LCCC Players and Staff will visit Wood Street Mission next week to assist in the packaging of hampers.
