Jennings leads the way with 82 on day two against Karnataka

Lancashire were bowled out for 244 on the second day of their tour match against Karnataka - with captain Keaton Jennings (82), Matty Hurst (44) and Josh Bohannon (35) making the key contributions with bat.

Jennings led the way alongside vice captain Bohannon during the morning session. Following the early loss of Luke Wells who nicked off Mishra, Jennings and Bohannon added 98 together for the second wicket.

It took an outstanding catch to dismiss Bohannon for 35 on the stroke of lunch - with Lancashire's number three looking at his fluent best before carving one away off Raj and Nischal plucked the ball out the sky one handed and kept it in his grasp upon landing.

George Bell departed shortly after to Samit Dravid and the Red Rose went into the interval on 111 for 3 with Jennings unbeaten on 64 and joined by George Balderson ahead of the afternoon session.

Dravid got Balderson shortly after the resumption which brought George Lavelle to the crease who - after initially being given out caught behind was recalled for a reprieve after it came off his shoulder - went on the attack with a four and a six before he was dismissed 14.

Jennings followed soon after for 82 after miscuing a sweep shot off Hodge which popped up and into the hands of Ravi to leave Lancashire 144 for 6.

That brought youngsters Hurst and Tom Aspinwall together - the duo played excellently and with confidence to add 44 for the seventh wicket, before Aspinwall was run out on the stroke of tea for 23 as Lancs headed into the interval on 197 for 7 in the 51st over.

Hurst and Harry Singh batted fluently in the final session putting on 56 together before the wicket of Hurst - trapped LBW by Reddy for 44 - brought about a quick end to the innings with the final two wickets coming soon after as Lancashire were bowled out for 244.

Karnataka will start their innings on the third and final day with a lead of 112 runs in Bengaluru.
