Report: 1st day-Lancashire won the toss and a positive start by Louis Bentley and Alex Davis saw 49 runs on the scoreboard for the first wicket after 10 overs.
Several batsmen got into the twenties before playing one shot to many, but Jack Dewhurst mastered the Durham bowling with positive shots at the right time.
From 140 for 6, the lower order gave good support to Dewhurst. Skipper Mattie McKiernan made 41 in a partnership of 88, then Mo Abid, Gavin Griffiths and Adnan Ghaus helped add 182 for the last 4 wickets. Dewhurst was left unbeaten on 128 made in 296 minutes from 252 balls received (17x4, 1x6).
Having bowled Lancashire out for 322, Durham were left with 5 overs to face at the end of the day, and they made 16 for none in reply.
2nd day-The day was dominated by the Durham opener Ramiz Aftal who made 172 before being dismissed with the score on 290. Lancashire used seven bowlers with Gavin Griffiths taking 1 for 42 from 14 overs and Jack Dewhurst 2 for 44 from 11 overs.
The game was poised when the spinners took 3 quick wickets in the afternoon to leave Durham on 190 for 5. Aftal together witrh Matt Wood (77) enjoyed a century partnership which made the game peter out in the last session to the inevitable draw.
