Lancashire won by 1 run
Report: Lancashire won a closely contested game by 1 run against the home side. Having elected to bat Lancashire started brightly and after 11 overs were 83-4. From that position, it was disappointing to be bowled out for 120 in 18.2 overs.
Derbyshire started their chase with confidence but the introduction of the spinners slowed the run rate and the game hinged on the final over, bowled by Cheetham with 10 runs required. Just four runs came from the first 5 balls and the 4 from final ball was not enough.
2nd game v Nottinghamshire
Nottinghamshire won the toss
Nottinghamshire 167-4 (20 overs) M Gowland 93; R Stroh 43; SP Cheetham 4-25
Lancashire 168-7 (19.4 overs) KR Brown 60; A Agathagelou 59; AA Shankar 21

Having won the toss the Nottinghamshire batters took control with Stephen Cheetham (4-25 from 4 overs) easily the pick of the bowlers. In reply Karl Brown (60), Andrea Agatathagelou (59) and Adrian Shankar (21) lead the Lancashire run chase and steered the side to an exciting finale, with victory acheived with 2 balls to spare.
