The game has all the hallmarks of an elimator from this season's competition, with both teams-level on 11 points-chasing second place in the Group C table and the last semi-final qualifying spot. Undefeated Somerset look in prime position to clinch first place in Group C, leaving Lancashire to battle it out with Notts and Essex for second.
The semi-final spots go to each of the 3 group winners plus the second placed side with the best record. If teams are level on points the tie breakers are (a) most wins, or if still level (b) higher net run-rate.
