ENGLAND'S stunning series victory in India has seen demand for additional tickets soar for the Old Trafford Investec Ashes Test next year.
Lancashire bowler Jimmy Anderson starred with a man of the match display in the final Test as Alastair Cook’s men came from behind to seal England’s first series win on Indian soil in 28 years.
And this momentous victory has further whetted the appetite of cricket lovers for Ashes tickets after the Club received an additional allocation last week.
Tickets for the first four days of the August 1-5 encounter had already sold out very quickly after initially going on sale.
But this extra allocation is now also close to selling out, especially after the India win, and Lancashire County Cricket Club officials are urging supporters to act quickly to avoid disappointment.
LCCC Commercial Director Geoff Durbin said: “Based on current sales we expect to sell out by the end of the week and therefore we urge supporters to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
A limited amount of tickets are available for the first four days and start from £50 per day for adults and £20 for children under the age of 16 (Additionally, all children who buy a ticket for the Ashes will automatically gain free membership of the Club’s successful junior membership scheme: Thunderbolts).
Tickets can be purchased in person at the LCCC Ticket and Membership Office, online (www.lccc.co.uk/tickets) or by calling 08444 999 666 or 0161 282 4040.
