LANCASHIRE SEAMER Kate Cross took six wickets as England defeated Australia during the sole Test in the Women's Ashes Down Under.
The bowler bowled superbly to record figures of 6/70 in the match - her debut in the longer form - to help England win by 61 runs.
The victory gives the Three Lions a 6-0 points lead in the Ashes aeries, ahead of the one-day internationals which commence on Sunday.
Captain Charlotte Edwards said: ""Anya (Shrubsole) always wants the ball and bowled fantastically well. She got the rewards in this Test match. In England she didn't get the rewards she deserved but here she's definitely got them.
"Kate Cross on debut - what a fantastic effort and Nat Sciver also on debut as well. These girls are coming into international cricket and performing straight away which is great to see."
