Metrolink had a VIP passenger on its new South Manchester line this week, Lancashire County Cricket Club's Championship Trophy
All-rounder Luke Procter joined Metrolink director Philip Purdy on the new Chorlton tram stop to celebrate the recent win and mark a successful start to the South Manchester line.
Luke Procter comments: “Winning the County Championship is a huge achievement for the club and we are keen to share our success with the local community. Metrolink has supported the club over the last few years so it is wonderful to celebrate our win with them and experience the new tram line.”
As part of its ongoing investment and expansion programme, Metrolink has opened three new tram stops at Firswood, Chorlton, and St Werburgh’s Road in south Manchester.
