HEAD COACH Peter Moores has committed his immediate future to Lancashire County Cricket Club for a further year.
The former England Head Coach’s current deal was due to expire at the end of next season but he has now extended his contract until 2014.
He said: “It just seemed the perfect fit to sign for another year. We all know the direction we want the club to go in.
“We have had some tremendous success in winning the title, then we had a frustrating year last year.
“First of all we need to put that right. Being at Lancashire and committing to that timeframe seems right for me at the moment. And it gives both me and the club some stability for the next few years.
“These are exciting times for the club. Not only have we got a young crop of players who are developing all the time, the stadium has changed and we have a new chief executive.”
