Arron Lilley has come through the ranks of Lancashire's junior sides and Academy programme to make his first team debut in County Championship and Twenty20 cricket in 2013, his first year on a professional contract.
Lilley, who will be 23 by the time the 2014 summer begins, made his second XI debut in 2010 prior to joining the county's Academy in 2011.
He made his senior debut in a 40-over match against Worcestershire in 2012, but unfortunately rain at New Road meant he did not bat or bowl.
The off-spinning all-rounder was the second leading wicket taker in 2012 season in second XI three-day cricket with 19 wickets, and was an integral part of their one-day Trophy winning side.
The Tameside-born player also played an integral part in the second XIís success in Championship cricket (they shared the title with Middlesex) and one-day Trophy cricket (they beat Nottinghamshire in the final) in 2013.
But, prior to that, he debuted in first-team Twenty20 cricket during a Roses clash at Headingley and played two Championship matches against Glamorgan at Emirates Old Trafford and Worcestershire at New Road.
His best performance in the first team to date came in a 40-over win over Derbyshire in mid-August, a haul of 4-30 from seven overs.
In terms of his batting, Lilley has the potential to become a genuine all-rounder in years to come.
