Lancashire CCC v Sussex CCC
Lancashire CCC v Sussex CCC

Lancashire CCC take on modern day rivals, Sussex CCC, in Division One of the LV= County Championship at Old Trafford starting on Wednesday 2nd September with play scheduled to start at 10:30am.

In the first match of the season, Lancashire went to Hove and came away with an impressive outright win, thanks largely to an awesome display of swing bowling by James Anderson backed up by excellent early season spin display by Gary Keedy.

These two counties have had some titanic encounters over the past decade and with former Sussex Coach Peter Moores now at the helm of the Red Rose County – taste of victory may be slightly sweeter come Saturday!

Tickets are available “on-the-day” from ticket booths on Brian Statham Way and next to the main LCCC Reception from 8:30am.

These are priced at;
Adults: £15
Senior Citizens: £10
Juniors U16: £5

Please note that tickets for LV= County Championship matches are non-refundable; they are only exchangeable for another LVCC or Pro40 match later in the season.

Car Parking - Lancashire CCC v Sussex CCC
There is a limited amount of match day parking available on site at Old Trafford Cricket Ground, priced at £8 (Non Members) and £4 (LCCC Members).

Entrance to this car park is via Great Stone Road off Talbot Road. Due to the NatWest International Twenty20 taking place the night before, there are only 200 spaces available on a first-come, first-serve basis for at least Day 1 and Day 2 of this fixture.

Once this car park is full, there is alternative match day parking at Manchester United Football Club opp. the Superstore on Sir Matt Busby Way, which is approximately 5-7 minute walk from the Cricket Ground. Manchester United.

The price of parking for cricket customers arriving at MUFC will be the same as parking charges at LCCC, which is £8 per car (see below details regarding LCCC Members).  This is discounted from the MUFC standard price of £10 per car.

Cricket customers can choose to pay for parking at MUFC in one of two ways:
By arriving at the LCCC entrance on Great Stone Road, paying for a ticket, then taking that ticket to MUFC.  The ticket will be given up on entry.
By travelling directly to MUFC and paying MUFC directly.

LCCC Members can pay £4 to park at MUFC, BUT only if they purchase their discounted Members ticket from LCCC parking staff, then drive to MUFC for the parking.
If LCCC members choose to drive directly to MUFC and pay there, they will be asked to pay £8.
